Robert W. Stallings (Bob) has served as Director of Texas Capital Bancshares since August 2001 and is currently the Chairman of the Board and a member of its Risk, Governance, and Nominating Committees. He is the President and CEO of Stallings Management, LLC, Owner and Dealer Principal at Bob Stallings Hyundai in Dallas, and is also the Chairman and Founder of The Stallings Foundation, a private philanthropic organization headquartered in Dallas.

Stalling’s prior board experience includes serving in director capacities for The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas and The Goldwater Institute, a public policy think tank. He was the lead Director for Crescent Realty and is widely regarded as an M&A strategist and for his knowledge of public market strategy. 

Additionally, Stallings served as the Executive Chairman at GAINSCO, INC., a property and casualty insurance company acquired by State Farm in late 2020. He is the former Chairman and Founder of ING Pilgrim Capital Corporation, which managed over $20 billion in mutual funds, institutional investments, and retirement accounts at the time it was acquired by The ING Group, N.V. in 1999.

In 1993, Stallings was honored as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year while at the helm of Express America Holdings Corporation. For over 50 years, he has been a distinguished leader in the financial sector, having served in an executive capacity at various banking and financial institutions since 1980.

Stallings is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. He currently lives in Frisco, Texas, with his wife Linda and has three children and eight grandchildren.
