Chief Risk Officer, Texas Capital Bancshares
John Hudgens serves as Chief Risk Officer of Texas Capital Bancshares, Inc., the holding company of Texas Capital Bank. Hudgens serves as chair of the Risk Management Committee, the Company’s Tier I risk committee overseeing the integration of risk management in the organization through the enterprise risk management process.
Hudgens joined the Bank in 1999 as Chief Credit Officer after having started his banking career 20 years earlier in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. His experience includes management roles in credit administration, corporate and correspondent banking, commercial credit underwriting, and problem loan administration.
Hudgens holds a master’s of business administration in finance and accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree in the business school’s honors program. He also graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
