Managing Director, Regional & Specialty Banking
William C. “Bill” Wilson currently serves as Managing Director, Regional & Specialty Banking, with oversight responsibility for Texas Capital Bank’s Austin, Fort Worth and San Antonio regions as well as nationwide SBA Lending. Wilson joined Texas Capital Bank as the Houston Region President in May 2009 and was promoted to Houston Region Chairman in June 2013. In 2018, Wilson was promoted to Managing Director.
Prior to joining Texas Capital Bank, Wilson was the Central Texas Region President for Wachovia Bank since February 2004. Based in Austin, Texas, Wilson was responsible for Wachovia's banking operations in Austin and San Antonio. Wilson has over 40 years banking experience including 20 years with Bank of America and its predecessor banks. During his tenure with Bank of America Wilson managed the Commercial Banking Group in Houston for six years from 1989 to 1995.
Born in Lockhart, Texas, Wilson earned a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University in 1975. He is also a graduate of the ABA National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
Wilson enjoys spending time at his family ranch near Fredericksburg. He also likes to travel and visit his children and grandchildren. His hobbies are ranch work, hunting and fishing.
