Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelors in Finance or Economics or similar business focus
• Formal credit training preferred
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial statements
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to work extended hours as deals dictate
• Advanced computer skills particularly in Excel and PowerPoint; Reuters and Bloomberg a plus
• Ability to successfully manage multiple project simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
• Detail-oriented

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the Syndicated Finance Team and the bank’s Relationship Managers on the origination of syndicated commercial loans
• Work in conjunction with the Regional Underwriting Teams to:

1. Conduct due diligence on the client’s business, operations, and financial condition
2. Build financial models
3. Analyze borrower’s historical financial performance
4. Evaluate industry and market characteristics, trends and outlook

• Assist in the preparation of pitch books, bank meetings and lender presentations
• Research comparable market transactions to find trends in pricing, tenor and covenant structures
• Maintain database on comparable syndicated loan transactions
• Assist in the compilation of marketing and research materials including review of current market conditions, term sheets and comparable transaction analysis
• Maintain a pitch book template and preparation of client presentations
• Post transaction information to deal website for potential investors
• Track transaction progress throughout the documentation and closing process
• Develop deep working knowledge of external news and information resources
