IT Architect, 2350 Lakeside Blvd. Richardson, TX


Requirements:

• Bachelors degree required
• Strong customer facing and relationship building skills
• Strong writing skills with the ability to create technical documentation
• Strong skills and experience in Microsoft .net application development
• Strong skills and experience in Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong skills and experience in Cisco solutions
• Strong skills and experience designing Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, etc)
• Strong skills and experience designing NetApp Storage solutions
• Strong skills in architecting Data Center solutions
• Experience in Microsoft BizTalk
• Excellent presentation, communication & customer interaction skills required
• Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting
• Experience working in Enterprise Systems Management and IT infrastructure environments architecting solutions, designing process and implementing technology
• Experience in project management, conducting competitive analysis, technology research, benchmarking, and writing technical documentation is desired

Responsibilities:

• Documentation
o Create white papers to memorialize strategies and implementations (past, present and future)
o Be able to effectively articulate verbally and in writing the IT Architect’s research, ideas, thoughts, options, recommendations, pros/cons, resource impacts and requirements, estimated level-of-effort, high level cost estimates and value for those tasks where services are requested
o Provide sufficient detail to ensure the customer clearly understands the topic. When determining the level of documentation required it should be approached assuming the topic may not be implemented immediately. Therefore the right level of detail must be memorialized to allow the customer to get back up to speed quickly when time comes to re-engage. The level of detail will vary based upon the topic
• Facilitation
o Effectively facilitate multi-team sessions with customers
o Present ideas and recommendations in sufficient detail with the goal of allowing the customer to make an educated decision
o Understand, respect and appreciate the customers perspective and ideas to help refine the solution
• Guidance
o Provide guidance to the customer to allow them to make an educated decision. The customer will be looking to the IT Architect for information and recommendations, not a decision
• Thought Leadership
o Periodically evaluate industry trends to determine what may make sense for the Bank in the future. This needs to be done with business value in mind and not just a pure technology focus
o Document findings and recommendations
• Enforcement
o Ensure solutions adhere to the Bank’s architectural standards. Standards can always be matured through an approval process
