David L. Cargill
Executive Vice President
David Cargill is a business banker who is committed to providing the best financial solutions and services for his commercial customers. This is one reason he is a founding member of Texas Capital Bank. He and four other executives started the Bank in 1998 because they saw that middle market business customers were not getting the banking attention they deserved.
Cargill’s commitment to the middle market continues today in his role as executive vice president of business banking at Texas Capital Bank.
He brings more than 30 years of banking experience to his job and customers, including helping to organize Resource Bank, which was the predecessor to Texas Capital Bank.
Before joining Texas Capital Bank, Cargill was president of Riverside National Bank in Grand Prairie. He also served as president and CEO of Crown Charter National Bank in Dallas.
Cargill was president and CEO of Texas Bank in Grand Prairie and remained with the organization after it was acquired by Texas American Bancshares, Inc., and renamed Texas American Bank/Greater Southwest. He began his banking career at Texas Commerce Bank in Irving and rose to senior vice president in the commercial lending division.
Cargill is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
